The DFA Design for Asia Awards (DFAA) is one the flagship programs of the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), that celebrates design excellence and acknowledges outstanding designs with Asian perspectives.
We collaborated with DFAA for the fourth time and produced the branding videos for the prestigious annual Award. We created 3D motion graphics of spheres and spiral lines in colours of hot pink and dark orange that symbolizes passion, playfulness and creativity, along with the use of gold, to not only echo the brand of the Awards but also celebrating the success of the winners.

The World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer Award was introduced as a new category. We brought green into the visuals, so as to encourage the creatives in the audience to revitalise and strive for growth in design.
We also wanted to show the immense amount of creativity and energy of upcoming designers with the icon of the Young Design Talent Award bursting out of an amorphous glob as the Award was announced. We have chosen to match the videos with epic orchestral music to reflect the grandness of the Awards.
