Business of Design Week (BODW) is one the flagship events of Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). The prestigious annual event promotes and celebrates design excellence, inspiring and engaging the local and international design community with the latest industry trends and insights.
Each and every year BODW partners with an international city to exchange design aspirations and innovations. Chicago of USA was picked as the partner city as it has a long history of design dating back to the 1800s.

Channels
It is home to the third largest population of urban indigenous people in the US and so we drew inspiration from their traditional patterns of triangles, using the city’s official blue colour, matched with red and orange to create visual vibrancy for the event.
We used both 2D and 3D motion graphics to create motion tracking to present the statistics and figures of the event in an interesting manner, and continued the use of the triangles throughout the video for brand consistency, while also bringing forth liveliness of what design can bring onto the scene.
